Dr. Jen Gaudiani, MD, CEDS
Dr. Gaudiani is the Founder and Medical Director of the Gaudiani Clinic, a unique outpatient internal medicine clinic in Denver, dedicated to the care of patients 15 years old and up with eating disorders, of all shapes and sizes. She received her undergraduate degree from Harvard, her medical degree from Boston University, and did her medicine residency and chief residency at Yale. As one of the leaders of the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health for eight years, Dr. Gaudiani left in May of this year to open her clinic. She sits on the board of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), is widely published, and speaks nationally and internationally on the medical complications of eating disorders. Dr. Gaudiani is passionate about the wellbeing and health of patients with eating disorders and disordered eating, and she remains one of very few internal medicine doctors in the country who carries the credential Certified Eating Disorder Specialist.
Lex Minniti, B.S. Food Science and Pathology
Lex Minniti is a food scientist working in product development in the food industry and is a food science educator. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Safety from UMass Amherst where she studied courses such as Food Chemistry, Food Microbiology, Food Biotechnology, Sustainable Food Systems, Food Access, and Food Engineering. Since graduation, Lex is striving to qualify for the IFT Certified Food Scientist title. In the meantime, she creates tasty products for consumers, educates the public about food science related news, pets every dog that gives her permission, and cooks constantly to make her Polish grandmother proud.
Marisa Sweeny, RD
Marisa Sweeney is a registered dietitian and owner of Be Well., a wellness center in Morristown, NJ. She earned her bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Food Science with a concentration in Dietetics from Montclair State University. She is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the New Jersey Dietetic Association. Marisa practiced dietetics in the oncology unit and intensive care unit at Holy Name Medical Center, and Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation, prior to becoming the Owner of Be Well.
She has developed many nutrition and integrative wellness programs for corporations and medical practices, including Reproductive Medical Associates of New Jersey, Reproductive Medical Associates of Pennsylvania, Transwestern, and Zufall Health Center. Marisa is the Program Coordinator of the Morristown Mayor's Wellness Campaign, and Women's Center for Entrepreneurship Corporation 2013 Woman of the Year Finalist. She is also the Chairperson of Morristown Women in Business Network, and sits on the boards of Sustainable Morristown and United Way of Northern New Jersey.
Dr. Ariane Smith Machín, Ph.D., LP, CC-AASP
Dr. Ariane Smith Machín is a Licensed Psychologist, Clinical Sport Psychologist, Wellness Coach, and Professor. She earned her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas and master’s degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in Sport Psychology from the University of Minnesota. Her bachelor’s degree is from Franklin & Marshall College, where she competed on the women’s cross country team and first became interested in the field of exercise and sport psychology. At this time, she maintains a private practice and teaches graduate and undergraduate students at Kaplan and Capella Universities. She is a member of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Sport Psychology Registry, is a Peer Reviewer for the Journal of Academic Psychiatry, and serves as the Chair of the Public Interest Committee for the Division 47 (Sport and Exercise Psychology) of the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Kelsey Latimer, Ph.D., LP
Dr. Kelsey M. Latimer is a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas. Dr. Latimer earned her doctorate and masters of science degree from the University of North Texas, with a focus area in child/adolescent development and neuropsychology. Her bachelor’s degree is from the University of Rhode Island, where she double majored in psychology and anthropology, earning the university’s annual president award and excellence award in both disciplines. At this time, Dr. Latimer is Lead Psychologist of an Eating Disorder Treatment Center and Assistant Professor at a Medical School, and an adjunct professor at Kaplan University and has been a board member on several important organizations, including the Elisa Project (focused on promoting positive body image and healthy self-esteem of young girls and women) and the Texas Psychological Foundation (focused on developing young professionals in the field of psychology).
