Shattering expectations for a runway show would be an understatement. We once lived in the era of the Victoria Secret fashion show, where a singular beauty ideal was portrayed, where young girls were made to feel less then because they couldn’t see someone like themselves gracing the stage. Now we have entered a time where diversity is celebrated, I mean true diversity… not tokenism or limited inclusion. Every dancer, model, and performer in this show are individuals who are representing the masses in a way that has never been done before. Tabria Majors (@tabriamajors) and Leslie Sidora (@lessance) were a vision, as an agency Natural is filled with pride and cannot wait to see the future of runway.
A new standard has been set by Savage x Fenty.
“I was incredibly honored to be apart of such a momentous occasion. The Savage x Fenty brand will be cemented in fashion history, and this show is the catalyst for that. It was so much more than a runway show; it blended the arts while championing industry standard, and being apart of something so important is such an incredible feeling. Savage, to me, is being unabashed in your truth, not giving af about what anyone else thinks, and appreciating every moment, good or bad, of your journey. My favorite bts moments were seeing the dancers rehearse. They were so integral in every single second of this and worked incredibly hard to pull it off in such a short amount of time. Their talent and commitment was very inspiring.”

We also asked Tabria what advice she has for young women looking up to her…
“The most important lessons I’ve learned when it comes to accomplishing my goals stem from self awareness, creative problem solving, and determination. So my advice to anyone looking up to me is to be self aware of what you’re good at. Honesty is key when considering this, and your dream career may not even be something you can feasibly achieve, but that’s where creative problem solving comes in. I’ve been told no far more than I’ve been told yes, but I’ve had to make a name for myself in other ways. For example, maybe you want to be a model but it’s not working out for you. You can possibly consider becoming an Art Director or Creative Director for a brand. The decision makers are all behind the scenes and that’s where change occurs. Lastly, your determination and work ethic will truly set you apart from the rest. There are so many who have all the tools to be successful, but only a small few will actually achieve it. Focusing on these three aspects has helped me tremendously, and hopefully it will help others as well.” -TABRIA MAJORS
