A few years ago, I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go with my career. I was asked by a tv producer "what do you want?" I was stunned because I didn't have an answer. I have always had an entrepreneur spirit and I have always created success for myself. But that doesn't mean I knew what I wanted, I only knew what I thought I wanted.

Most of us work really hard for what we think we want and when we get it, we realize, perhaps this wasn't it! That has happened to me several times when I achieved the goals I had set for myself. When I was asked what I wanted, I was forced to figure out what felt right, and what path was going to fit the real me. 

Three years ago, I decided that I wanted to teach! I love teaching and learning and so I focused on creating a powerful lecture/class on media manipulation and beauty ideals. I knew that it didn't matter what the outcome of my success in this arena was, as long as I felt connected to my purpose in doing this work!

I am so happy to share that I was selected out of thousands of public speakers to be one of five to showcase at The National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) West convention this October! That means I have an opportunity to share my passion and knowledge with representatives from Universities and Colleges on the west coast who have the potential to bring me to their school to share my message! The most valuable lessons I have learned are to follow your passion, believe you are capable of creating your vision, work hard, and I promise you will discover where you fit in this world.
