Dani Candray for Aerie

If you don’t know Dani Candray, you are missing out! This beautiful human being is changing the game for women like herself who have Alopecia. When a person has a medical condition called alopecia areata (ar-ee-AH-tah), the hair falls out in round patches. The hair can fall out on the scalp and elsewhere on the body. Alopecia areata can cause different types of hair loss. Dani has had this condition her whole life and is now an advocate and role model for others who feel shame or embarrassment living with Alopecia.

I first met Dani when she attended one of our HNS Girl Gang Hangs. She came in wearing her wig and sat quietly to the side. When it was time to work out, Dani took her wig off proudly and was ready to kick some butt. We got into some beautiful conversations about beauty, self image, confidence, and hair! Dani is one of those people who shines inner beauty like light beams. She is an all around stunning woman and one of the kindest people I have ever met. We could not be more proud of her for booking Aerie and becoming an Aerie Real Role Model. Take a look at some of the campaign images below!
