Bloggers Who Brunch & Becca Swim Panel
I had an amazing time at the Bloggers Who Brunch & Becca Swim luncheon at Skybar in the Mondrian Hotel, in Hollywood. I was happy to speak on the panel alongside content creator, Nicole Isaacs, head designer of Becca Swim, Rebecca Virtue, and Founder of Bloggers Who Brunch, Alex Georgy. We talked about all things body image, self-love, being your true self on social media, and supporting other women who are doing the same. Take a look at this #bts video to catch a glimpse of this beautiful afternoon and some new products from Maybelline you won't want to miss.
I have been a longtime fan of Becca Swimwear, not just because the styles are always timeless and they cover a wide size range to accommodate different body types, but because the quality is the best out of any swimwear I have worn. I was telling Rebecca, I only recently just got rid of one of my favorite one-pieces she designed eight years ago! It was white with mesh cutouts and I had worn it so many times it was no longer white. I was sad to see it go but I can't wait to try some of the new designs we were shown at this event.

I am in love with these new trousers I got from Zara. Can I start by saying that I really dislike the Zara website? Bradford, my husband got me a gift card to Zara for my birthday and I went to their website several times and found myself extremely distracted by the models they use. In my opinion, Zara uses some of the thinnest models I have seen any company use. I find it really difficult to tell what their clothing would look like on a more realistic figure because the models are wearing size smalls but the clothing still hangs off of them in an uncommon way. Nothing will fit the general public the way the clothing fits the models on the website. I also found my hand getting tired from having to scroll constantly because they are using really large images. It forces you to have to scroll for every outfit which is why I opted out from the website entirely and went to the store instead. I found my in-store experience to be a much healthier one and I found some great pieces! What I love about these pants is that Zara is now carrying them up to an XXL. I love seeing this because so many women I know would look amazing in these trousers, no matter what size they are, and everyone should have access to great fitting clothing. You can shop these pants by clicking the button and they have more colors too!
I got so many compliments on this sweater and I normally don't go sleeveless for events. I am not sure why, maybe it is some weird old insecurity I have about showing my arms? Isn't it funny that you can wear or not wear specific items for reasons you aren't really aware of? Well, I became aware of it and I challenged that old outdated belief I had about my arms and rocked this super cute sweater top that is also from Zara.
