Utah State University Lecture Recap

Last week I gave a lecture at Utah State University for mental health week and it was one of my favorite presentations so far. The students were extremely kind, engaging, and welcoming. I was thrilled to have men join us for this important conversation and to hear their feedback as well.

After my presentation for about 200 students, I had several stay ofter to speak with me which is always my favorite part. I enjoy hearing from the students about their personal experiences in life and in school. I also love being able to give them a hug, words of encouragement, and just acceptance for who they are. I hear every possible story you can imagine and more, and it always reminds we how important this work is! We need to step up as role models and mentors for our youth to assist them in becoming strong and functional human beings. They deserve nothing less.

Here is some of the feedback from students I received online! Thank you to USU for providing us with this opportunity and experience. It makes a difference, even for the students who don’t say anything in person.
